The Lunch Club

The Lunch Club serves lunch during the summer and school breaks.

 

The Mission Statement is to reach out in love and service to the people of Sheridan.

 

The Vision of the Lunch Club is that no man, woman or child of Sheridan goes hungry for love, for attention or for nourishment of their body.

 

Our ministry fits the United Methodist Church's mission by meeting some of the basic needs in our community by opening our building and our hearts in service to every child and family that is hungry and desires to participate in The Lunch Club.  We offer fellowship and one-on-one contact with each child/adult who comes to eat a meal with us.

 

Each volunteer must have a background check.  The volunteers cook, set up and clean up, wash dishes, serve food and interact with the children.  Volunteer cooks are to be ready at 9:00 am and finish about 1:30 pm  The regular volunteers work from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
